Remuneration: Scottish Episcopal Church Clergy Standard Stipend
The Church of St John the Evangelist occupies a striking location in the heart of Edinburgh on one of the city’s busiest pedestrian and traffic intersections. With a congregation drawn from all parts of the city and beyond, we are a visible, engaged and prayerful community, keen to explore God’s call to us in this place and at this time. We hold welcome and inclusivity as core values and can demonstrate more than 60 years’ experience of social action, working ecumenically. We value our worship, enhanced by a long tradition of choral music and consider ourselves to be a community fortunate in the breadth of talent it encompasses. We are seeking a Rector who:
- will be a capable and creative Pastor who strongly believes in the inclusion of all God’s people
- has experience of managing complexity, demonstrating a collaborative and consultative style
- has experience of working with a wide range of people from all age groups.
